Things are a bit different so we ask you read the announcement fully and abide by ALL the rules.
We are just coming out of the pandemic, and we want to have a good ritual in as safe a way as possible.
MIDSUMMER is the triumph of the Sun, and we will do a ritual where everyone can bring a small piece of the Sun home with them. We will sing and dance and celebrate the Horned God as he triumphs in the Longest day of the year.
June 19th is the day, and we will gather at 6 with ritual at 6:30.
This ritual is going to be outdoors, and we are asking people to be safe, wear masks when appropriate and be somewhat socially distant unless you are fully vaccinated. We won’t be checking, but you know where you are with regards to vaccination.
This is also not on any public transit, so if you need a ride, communicate that and we will try to find a ride for you.
DO NOT BRING FIREWOOD!
Whether we will have a fire (the park will provide wood for us) depends on the weather. If it’s too hot, we won’t do it.
FOOD WILL BE PICNIC POTLUCK, and we encourage finger foods, to minimize waste.
Plates, cups and napkins WILL be provided, you are on your own for the rest.
!!!!!!!! IMPORTANT !!!!!!!!
This is a somewhat open public area, so it will be a minimalist ritual, and NO ATHAMES are allowed. They violate the weapons policy of the park. Be safe and we can use the park again.
The path from the parking area to the fire pit is paved and mostly flat. It’s 0.15 mile (a block and a half to two blocks).
Restrooms are available.
We look forward to seeing each other again after a long time sheltering in isolation.
